| Though it hasn't seemed like anything new has happened on the site in about a week, our site is always growing.First off, welcome to all new members! You're a huge part of what makes this site possible-- and that's why I wanted to mention... HAPPY 50 MEMBERS, FOLKS! Thanks, and I couldn't have done it without you! I know I'm about a week late on the milestone update, but I was waiting until there was more to update about. For those of you who don't know yet, there's something I like to call 6-8, or Scheduled Maintenance. Almost every Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, I'll close the website and update/ work on it. This way, I can work without code being screwed up from you guys getting in the way and trying to work things that aren't quite done yet. After all the double-posting, and me getting extremely annoyed about it, I realized something-- I coded the feature wrong! Oops. From this point onwards, there is an "Edit" button you can click on, located at the top right corner of every post you make. It'll allow you to edit your post, for up to three hours after you do so. No excuses now! Instead of being organized by what the user wants to find out about, tutorials are now organized by difficulty. This ranges from Easiest (the bare essentials) to Hardest (the tips and tricks that don't matter if you learn or not, but are still extremely handy and helpful). For now, I'm still partway through a couple of the Hardest tutorials. All previous tutorials have been organized into the other two thus far. Finally, the reporting system! In the top right of any post, you will now see a report button. If anyone posts anything that you find offensive, innapropriate, or other, you can click on the button and report the post to me. Now that the site is growing, a feature like this has become essential. Also, now that the edit button is in place, there's all the more reason for the report button! When you report a post to me, I'll see what the post looked like at the very moment you reported it. Even if the person you report changed the post afterwards, it wouldn't matter. That's all, folks! Hopefully you find the updates as useful as I found them tiring! Until next time! |
